Are you ready to party?
Let me give you a little history lesson. On November 3, 1903 Panama declared its independence from Colombia. Knowing that we were going to be independent from Colombia, Maria Ossa de Amador created the flag that was going to represent us as an independent country. November 4 was declared Panama Flag Day. November is actually Panama most festive month. So this is the month to really get the party started! Wild Panama girls, loads of drinks, tons of music, and the greatest fun you’ll ever experience is what you will get this entire month! During the day you will have all the Panama people on the streets watching the different parades and schools marching, and at night is a non-stop party in all the Panama City bars, night clubs and mobile night clubs such as the famous PH or Planeta Balboa. Come and celebrate Panama 105th anniversary! Major Panama festivities on November:
The year is almost gone, but one thing that will never stop is the party in Panama City, Panama. Prove of that is the great year Panama has had. Irving Saladino brought the very first Olympic gold medal to Panama and is the first man to have ever won an Olympic gold medal in Central America! Besides Saladino’s triumph, Margarita Henriquez also made Panamanian people proud by representing us in the Latin American Idol contest where she was crowned the new Latin American Idol. Along with her, 2 other Panamanian singers: Manuel Araúz (5th finalist) and Anne Lorraine showed to all Latin America that Panama is full of talent and good people. Panamanian people are known for their warmth and happiness everywhere we go. We are the kind people that take someone else’s victory or lost as our own. At Panama City, Panama you’ll always find everyone in a party when someone like Henriquez or Saladino represents Panama so well. The party is not just in one place but in the whole city, making everyone drink, sings and dance all night long. A very good example of this is when Margarita won Latin American Idol. All Panamanian people where very happy and went to the streets to honk their horns in celebration of our new winner. Margarita arrived last Monday October 13th and was received by no others than the presidential couple. What an honor! She was then escorted to TVN where a concert was held with a lot of other Panamanian artists who were there to show her how proud we are of her! As you can see, the people in Panama City, Panama don’t waste time to party! For us, there’s always a reason to party no matter what the occasion is. It doesn’t matter if someone wins or loses, what matter to us is that we are being represented outside our country and other people is getting to know our broad culture. Of course, we won’t complaint if they bring the title along the way! J Thank you to all for representing Panama! We love them and you’ll love our culture because of many reasons and among them, because Panama is the best place to party all year long!
Last night the whole Panama was a big party celebrating Margarita’s win with caravans all over the country. Great expectation is in the air to know when her arrival at Panama is. And many places are already organizing a well deserved welcoming for her.
Thank you to Margarita’s parent for raising her with modesty and humility. Thank you to all Latin America for voting and supporting Margarita, she truly deserves to be the winner. And thank you, Margarita, for sharing your dream with our country. It is party time in Panama! Margarita Henriquez is the Panamanian girl in the semi finals for Latin American Idol. Together with Maria Jose, Costa Rica, Sandra, Peru, and Pako, Mexico, is waiting for tonight’s results to know who is going to be in the final of Latin American Idol. If you are not familiar with this show you need to know that it’s a spin-off of the popular British show POP IDOL, with the same creator Simon Fuller. Everyone in Panama is ready to Party with Margarita! Last night many Panamanian reunited at People to enjoy a night of live music with Ness, Nenita Style, Akin, Makano, Comando Tiburón, Master Flow, Freddy Sky and others that were raising money for our Margarita. Also, t-shirts, and hats were sold for Margarita. And later everyone enjoy the presentation of the eight concert live in People, where Margarita again put Panama’s colors high. Hands down, our girl is the best all around contestant; clear pitch, great voice projection, and a charisma that puts the Panamanian girl ahead of the game. Even her parents organized a party to watch the show with family and friends supporting the wild heart girl. Sexy Margarita comes from Los Santos, the birthplace of Panama’s folklore and well known for its Carnaval. In her veins runs the taste from music and entertainment. She is the front woman of Ritmos Santeños, a Panamanian folk’s music group. During her participation in Latin Idol, Margarita has transformed from Panamanian girl to sexy Latin woman in front of millions of people watching her sing. Not only has she learned to use her voice even better but also her presence in scene and her attitude changed. Margarita is a wild woman inside who sings from the heart and always leaves her audience happy. Even the judges can be seen in standing ovation with the public when she is singing. Tonight, two contestants are going home while other two will be going to next week final. Would Margarita be one of them? Is she the next Latin American Idol? Stay tune for more! Alright, so every weekend I try to go to different places so I can suggest new places for you to hang out. Last weekend I tried People Ultra lounge! Yes, it is a night club located in the very well known Calle Uruguay (Uruguay Street) in Panama City, Panama. I said well know because it is the street for you to visit when you are in the mood for any kind of wild party. Anyways, it was hard for my friends and me to get in. We were in an endless line until we finally get inside. But, the wait was very much worth it. Why do I say that? The night club is unbelievably well decorated. It’s a two story night club and the music is very varied. You can listen to a lot of Panamanian Reggaeton, salsa, rock, techno, r & b, hip-hop, merengue, etc. That night, it was mainly a reggae night. They had a special guest, Panamanian reggae singer: “El Rookie”. The show was a little short, but extremely enjoyable. My friends and I danced all night long to all the songs the DJ was playing and, of course, we drink. We were actually hanging in the bar area. The bar is pretty awesome, but the bartenders were spectacular. There was one specific bartender that was flipping bottles around and dancing to the music, it was really great. Anyways, we ordered some drinks to start setting the mood for the night, but ended up buying a bottle of vodka. It was the first time I went to this night club. People is a very nice place to hang out; it’s very safe (for being a night club); the staff is pretty courteous (could be better); the drinks are really good; but, the best thing of all is their live music or just music in general. Of course, you are the one who always set the mood for your own Latin party, so make sure you go with plenty of friends to hang out with, just like I did. I felt very comfortable in that place, believe it or not, I got to meet some new people there and hopefully I’ll see them again when I go back to this night club. We left the night club around 6am the next day; the party was just too good to finish it early. We were wild girls that night; we finished the whole bottle of vodka and kept on drinking. I, actually, WE had lots of fun! I’ll come back to this place… maybe sooner than I think. I know for a fact they’ll presenting Panamanian rock band “los rabanes” this Friday, so if you’re a fond of them, don’t miss this weekend party at PEOPLE ULTRA LOUNGE! Well, El Pavo Real has turned out to be my favorite spot in Panama City, Panama. Its ambiance, the music, the food, the drinks, but most of all the staff really makes me love this trendy English bar. (Find more about El Pavo Real on my last week’s article). I went back for the second time with some friends and few of my co-workers. We loved it that night! All the staff: Marli, Alex and Fernando remembered me right away! Marli and Alex were smiling and taking care of us the whole night. We started off pretty wild by drinking vodka. We sat there to talk and everyone was just so friendly, we couldn’t help but to talk about it. Later on another friend arrived and she wanted to play pool. The pool tables were busy but the people playing were so nice to let her play. OMG! I drank until I felt a little tipsy; luckily my friends and the staff took care of meJ. My friend wasn’t really good at playing pool but we sure had a blast! I met another waiter that night. His name is Ricky. He’s very nice and talks to everyone. Every time I go back Ricky, Marli and Alex are very pleasant and friendly. Every single person that works there is extremely nice, unfortunately because I’m really bad with names and don’t really remember everyone’s name but I can guarantee that anyone that helps you will truly take care of you. Anyways, writing about it I realized that this is not much of a wild party itself. You’ll have to go to El Pavo Real in order for you to understand what I mean when I say that this is the best place to hang out with your friends and have a great time! If you love rock music, this is the place to go! If you want the best customer service in a bar in Panama City, Panama, this is the place to go! If you want the best food and drinks in Panama City, Panama, this is the best place to go! If you want to be surrounded by beautiful, sexy young Panamanian and latin girls, this is the place to go! El Pavo Real is definitely the best bar to have the best fiesta in Panama City, Panama. It really has nothing to envy from the wild party in strip clubs. The only thing you will NOT find there is a striptease show or lap dance; Nevertheless, it’s a party you will not want to miss. I never do! It truly gives you the best value for your buck in their drinks and food. It gives you free live music every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and, once again, the best service ever! I keep going back almost every week because I know that Stefan, Fernando, Ricky, Marli, Alex and everyone else there will always greet me as their friend and help me relax. It’s always nice to have someone to talk to when you are having a stressful day and to enjoy a cold beer on tap to relax. You can find all of these and more in El Pavo Real. Come and enjoy the best Panamanian-English party only at El Pavo Real. If you’re bold enough you might even meet a lot of wild girls or guys right there! Keep your hopes up! And, I’ll see you at El Pavo Real! The “Peacock” or El Pavo Real for its name in Spanish is an English pub that plays mostly rock music, which just recently moved to Via Argentina in Panama City, Panama. It was first located in Calle 50 since it first opened in the 80s. El Pavo Real has a lot of story and even though is not really a dance club, you can have a lot of fun playing pool, watching TV or just by delighting your sight with the sexy panamanian wild girls that go there. I went there the other day and had the pleasure to meet Stefan who’s a manager in El Pavo Real. He told me few anecdotes from the place and why it had to move from its original location, which is because of some leasing problems. He was very nice and polite as is the rest of the staff from El Pavo Real. He started telling me the story of the success of El Pavo Real. Stefan explained to me that yes, it was true that John Le Carré, the English writer who wrote “The Tailor of Panama”, did used to go there to write his novels and eat their signature dishes accompanied by his favorite drinks. Nevertheless, El Pavo Real did not become famous because of him; El Pavo Real was famous way before John Le Carré first stepped into that place. It was very well known since it starts because of its strategic location in Area Bancaria (Banking Area) in Panama City, Panama, it’s excellent customer service, delicious food specially its fish n’ chips and their delicious onion soup (truly, still THE BEST onion soup in Panama City) and great variety of imported and local beers. All the business people used to go there to close very important business deals and have business meetings. One very interesting anecdote was that their famous “fish n’ chips” was not served on a plate like is done now a days, no, it was served on the financial section of the New York Times. Yes, you read it right! It was served on a newspaper. Truly, truly amazing! Unfortunately, this can’t be done anymore because of health department requirements. The other dish, the onion soup is the best of its kind. No other onion soup can be compare to theirs, guarantee! Anyways, too much story already so let me tell you how I found out about this quite but crazy and wild place where I go to party a lot. My best friend and I were driving around one day and wanted to stop by for a drink. We found El Pavo Real right on a corner in Via Argentina where the club Korcho’s used to be located at. We hadn’t even walked in when the administrator and the owners greeted us very politely and courteously. I still remember what Fernando (that’s the name of the administrator) told me: “welcome, this is your home” Whoa!!! I couldn’t believe I was receiving such a nice service in a bar in Panama City, Panama. We sat down outside because we wanted to smoke and chat. Yes, they have a patio area where you can drink, eat and smoke if you want to. We ordered some drinks and we stayed there for a while. The bartenders/waiters were very polite and Fernando treated us like we were old friends. We had to leave but I knew I was going to go back. I went back a couple of weeks later with some friends from work. And now is when the real party really started. Find out what did my friends and I did that night at El Pavo Real on my next week’s article… meanwhile, remember to Party a lot in any of the spots I’ve talked about… Here’s a great party celebration. Why? It was my office friend’s birthday! And it’s another excuse to party in panama or like we say in Panama “arrancarnos” (start up). She wanted to try something new, something fresh. A very close friend suggested we try a new place at Via Argentina in Panama City, Panama that had just opened up. We went there and the place was packed inside and outside. How not? Mrs. Mendoza (that’s the restaurant name) is a tex-mex, Mexican restaurant with a very Panamanian and Latin soul. It has a patio and two tables just outside the restaurant where you can also smoke. The staff greeted us very fast and cordially. Their politeness and efficiency was amazing! We didn’t have to wait more than ten minutes for our table. We sat down and ordered margaritas and beers. I also ordered some nachos because I knew we were going to get a little hungry after we started drinking. (By the way, we’d already had dinner). The margaritas arrived and they were huge! The glass were they are served them are really big, fancy margarita glasses, not just regular martini glasses like some other places use. I had a sip and it was amazingly good. They use Jose Cuervo tequila for this drink and the ratio of ingredients was perfect! (This is a lot to say considering I’m not a big fan of margaritas). At the same time, the nachos arrived. They were really, really good. They were crispy and fresh. What they served us were not store bought tortillas, they were homemade tortillas chips and the pico-de-gallo that we ordered with it was also fresh and well seasoned. If just the nachos were that good, imagine the rest of their menu! Anyways, they also had live mariachi who were nice enough to sing “las mañanitas” (Mexican b-day song) to my friend. And when there’s no mariachi, they play a great selection of Latin music. It was a nice twist, something different… Most importantly, my friend loved it! And so did us. I had a blast! Mrs. Mendoza is a really nice place to hang out, eat some very good tex-mex or Mexican food and a great place to bring your love one for a unique serenade. Mrs. Mendoza has nothing to envy from any night club or bar or even those show clubs and strip clubs. You can set your own ambiance. From sexy and wild party to just a true Latin fiesta; their music, their drinks and their food are the key ingredients to have a great Latin night, Mexican night. Most importantly, their service has been the best service I’ve received in a restaurant/bar in Panama so far. I know you’re excited to know more about the hot girls in Panama City, Panama, well more specifically the strippers and escorts in THE CRAZY HORSE PANAMA from my last articles. (READ AN EROTIC PARTY IN PANAMA CITY, PANAMA and THE REAL EROTIC PARTY IN PANAMA CITY, PANAMA to understand this article) Stay in touch to read my new article every week. Ok, so here’s the deal. My friends and I didn’t want to go out the past weekend because we were really tired. We ended up having dinner and then decided to go to a strip club. Yes, a strip club. (Find out how I ended up in a strip club reading last week’s article). So, we arrived to THE CRAZY HORSE PANAMA around 9:00p.m. I was excited, nervous, confused. But it all started perfectly. First of all, no cover; some strip clubs and gentlemen’s club in Panama City, Panama ask for cover. Not this one. Then, when we were opening the door we noticed the ambiance. The place was well illuminated, not too bright not too dark. It was perfect! The bar area was beautiful! The displaying of liquors and glasses was amazing. The way the lights shined on the bottles was really nice. Their seats were beautiful and most importantly, soft and comfortable. They had bar stools (in the bar area of course), individuals seats, sectionals on the sides of the strip club, couches and beautiful glass tables that went perfectly with the strip club’s decoration. What else? Oh yes, the stage! The stage was huge, perfectly positioned so everyone could watch the strippers performing their show. I mean, I can try to describe the whole place, but it was just so amazing, you’ll have to go and see it yourself. If you think the ambiance sounds good so far, you have to hear the rest of the story. The place was not crowded; it was actually still pretty early. We picked a sectional on the other side of the strip club’s stage. Surprisingly, there were already strippers performing their shows when we arrived. After we sat down, a very handsome bartender came to take our drink orders. Some of my friends ordered margaritas, some others ordered beers. If you’ve been reading my blog you know my drink, but I didn’t feel like drinking it that night, instead I ordered a “Screwdriver”. I was thinking we were going to leave early so I wanted to take it slow. Alright, the girls… yes… the girls in Panama City, Panama, what you really wanted to know about, right? What can I say? I was reluctant to see them performing their striptease. Hey, no choice, I had to, I was there. So these hot chicks were coming out dancing to the really nice songs picked by the DJ. Some of them were wearing costumes; others were just wearing sexy lingerie. Whatever they wore, they were spectacular. Their striptease was amazing, some lucky guys received private lap dances, and others paid for a private massage with those really hot strippers. Let me describe you how their dance was and how these professional nude girls are. Sorry, not enough time. Come back at the end of the week to read the last part of this great erotic party adventure. |
